It was 1988, after 10 previous years in the residential and construction market, that I set out to build Riverstone Construction. My life philosophy naturally transitioned into the business and became the cornerstone: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourself.” It’s a mission I am passionate about instilling into the team I have recruited over the last 30 years.
I would also credit my basketball career and years at Capital University as team captain shaped my, and therefore, Riverstone’s mindset: 110% effort 100% of the time. Believe every job, no matter how big or small, deserves the very best team effort given with excellence and consistency. I believe it has been my desire to captain the team in this manner, fully in the game serving while also instructing, that has served Riverstone well. Fortunately, along the way, I have developed other go-to players.
Now 30 years and 9 grandchildren later, I am ready to transition the Head Coach position. I will still very much be apart of the projects with continued client communication and insurance of quality standards. Also, you can be sure I will continue to scout out the best products and processes to better serve you. I am confident in my seasoned leaders who are now at the forefront of the day-to-day, but I will always only be a phone call, email or text away.
